I have been battling Demodex for a long time. I’ve tried many different things, including pure tea tree oil, but it is irritating at full strength. The Skinetic™ Amino Acid Mite Removal Facial Cleanser has done an incredible job at getting rid of the cystic bumps on my face which are due to mites. In my case, it took about two weeks of regular washing for the bumps to dry out and completely fall off. This is the only thing I have found that permanently removed the pesky, itchy bumps. A little goes a long way, and every wash feels luxurious and relaxing, thanks to its built-in massage cap!
I decided to incorporate the Skinetic™ Amino Acid Mite Removal Facial Cleanser into my cleansing routine for an outbreak of terrible bumps on my face caused by rosacea, which was diagnosed by a dermatologist. The derm gave me an antibiotic and a very expensive cream that I could barely afford. I tried a wash-off formula first and bought this cleanser after researching it and I was just blown away at how fast this worked. Six days and my bumps were drying up and after two weeks, all gone! It wasn’t drying on my face and once it cleared my face a couple of months ago, I’ve never had an outbreak again! Hope this helps. I did not use any other product. This face wash is the only thing I added to my routine.
Face mites or Demodex mites are microscopic parasites that live in the pores or hair follicles in the skin. They thrive in areas with excessive oil production (T-zone) and dead skin cells.
Face mites are a normal inhabitant of human facial skin and everyone has them. However, they can become problematic when they overpopulate and result in a condition called Demodicosis. Demodicosis, a skin disease caused by the overgrowth of Demodex mites, typically appears as tiny white bumps or in more severe cases, red or scaly skin patches and itchy, acne-like lesions.
An overabundance or imbalance of face mites can lead to various skin conditions, including clogged pores, redness, and a glossy appearance. Keeping these mites in check is crucial for maintaining healthy and balanced skin, free from common skin concerns.
This face mite overgrowth can also trigger rosacea and eczema flare-ups. In fact, a study published by the National Rosacea Society states that rosacea patients have 15 to 18 times more face mites than people without the skin condition.
Although the overpopulation of face mites in the skin has more to do with our own immune system’s inability to control their spread, managing the symptoms is doable. And using a gentle, antibacterial product to cleanse the facial skin is a good place to start.
It is impossible to get rid of all the face mites as they are a natural part of the skin microbiome, but you can prevent cases of high concentrations of demodex on the skin by cleansing your face twice daily. Face mites can accumulate in the eyelash region as well, so it’s important to remove eye makeup and keep the area thoroughly cleaned.
Just remember not to overwash your face as this could lead to dryness and then overproduction of sebum in which face mites are attracted to. Use a gentle, non-stripping cleanser to wash away dirt and excess oils. You can also opt for a product that contains salicylic acid to exfoliate and deeply cleanse pores. Pay extra attention to the t-zone or any part of your face where oil proliferates to treat the accumulation of face mites and the accompanying inflammation and irritation.
The Skinetic™ Amino Acid Mite Removal Facial Cleanser is formulated with a blend of amino acid, snow lotus extract, and salicylic acid that effectively removes face mites without disrupting the skin’s pH. Its mild, antibacterial formula deeply cleanses pores and gets rid of all the dirt, dead skin, bacteria, and sebum that demodex likes to feed on.
Face mites are attracted to skin oils and dead cells. The inclusion of salicylic acid in the formula dissolves oils and sloughs off dead skin cells, while the healing and hydrating combination of amino acid and snow lotus extract soothes redness, irritation, and itchiness caused by face mite overgrowth. The formula also calms rosacea flare-ups and acne breakouts.
Additionally, Skinetic™ Amino Acid Mite Removal Facial Cleanser is deeply moisturizing. It creates a rich foam that gives you a deep cleanse and mild exfoliation while keeping your natural moisture barrier intact. This face mite removal facial wash keeps skin supple, balanced, and hydrated after cleansing, so you will never have to worry about dryness that can trigger excessive sebum production and cause further irritation.
The Skinetic™ Amino Acid Mite Removal Facial Cleanser also comes with a massage cap for gentle scrubbing and facial stimulation. Gently massaging your face in circulation motions helps boost blood flow and speeds up the skin’s healing process. With regular use, you’ll be on your way to clearer, healthier skin!
Amino acids lock in deep moisture, hydration, and nourishment to the skin and keep the skin barrier protected and healthy. It maintains the skin’s water-oil balance and reduces facial redness and inflammation.
Snow lotus extract’s natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties help soothe irritation, inflammation, and redness associated with demodicosis, acne, rosacea, and eczema. It aids in restoring the skin back to its healthier and calmer state. Moreover, this herbal extract blocks skin-damaging free radicals to prevent further irritation.
Salicylic acid deeply penetrates the pores to dissolve oil, exfoliate dead cells on the surface of the skin, and eliminate germs and face mites that are wreaking havoc to your skin. Salicylic also helps regulate the oil production and treats clogged pores that can trigger breakouts.
After reading about face mites that can affect the skin, it made sense that my weird breakouts around my eyebrows and on my lower lip might be caused by this mite. So, I searched around for something to treat it and decided to go for a rinse-off formula first as I was scared of further irritating it.
I tested the Skinetic™ Amino Acid Mite Removal Facial Cleanser out on a cheek to make sure it did not irritate. Nope! No irritation. Then I washed my entire face and then waited. Within three days, the small blister-like pimples where I thought I might have skin mites were flattening out and slowly diminishing.
Second week of using this cleanser twice a day resulted in way less blistery pimples. I read that once you kill a batch of demodex, new eggs will hatch within 2 weeks. So I guess this product was doing an awesome job at preventing them from spreading because I literally saw the bumps drying and healing up.
The Skinetic™ Amino Acid Mite Removal Facial Cleanser single-handedly clears up and heals my skin in less than a month of use! I initially thought this facial wash would strip my skin and leave an uncomfortably dry and tight feeling after cleansing, but I did not experience any of those things. My facial skin actually feels softer and smoother with each use. And it’s definitely calmer! No more weird breakouts and itches!
