What is Earwax Blockage?

Earwax blockage occurs when earwax (cerumen) builds up in your ear or becomes too hard to wash away naturally. Earwax is a helpful and natural part of your body’s defenses. 1. Garlic (Allium sativum)

2. Olive Oil (Olea europaea)

Olive oil can be used to soften earwax and make it easier to remove. Olive oil works by getting into the earwax and helping in its breakdown. It is safe to put olive oil in the ear canal because it is a natural product. A 2003 study found that herbal ear drops containing olive oil helped relieve pain from an ear infection in children.

3. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum)

The herb St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) is intended to relieve ear pain, remove ear wax (cerumen), and improve hearing. It is effective in removing cerumen from the ear canal, and it helps improve hearing if cerumen is present. St. John’s wort is commonly used as a natural remedy for relieving pain and reducing inflammation. It soothes pain and speeds up healing.

4. Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
